Shopping in Westport

I didn't get a chance to post anything yesterday since I was exhausted after an exciting fun filled day...the stampin' ladies...Carol...and I spent the day in Westport doing some serious shopping...we had a stamp work shop to attend and we decided to make a day of it...of course I forgot my camera...Carol refused to make a u-turn to go back and get it just because we were already an hour or so into the trip and 50 miles away from my house...Gee!!! such a minor detail...lol...so I don't have any pics of us having a stampin' good time...or enjoying our lunch at a very fancy eatery...I also don't have any pics of the DELICIOUS breakfast muffins Ms. Heidi made for us to enjoy with our coffee for the long trip down...or the YUMMO brownies Yvonne made for us to top off our lunch with.
*****
I did take some pics this morning of the goodies that I treated myself too...I can't wait to start playing with everything...I was too tired to ink any rubber last night...in the next few days I will share the cards we made in the class.
*****
Here are some of my favorite stamps to add to my collection.

I was also able to get some of the nice papers we used in class...I have white...cream...and a printed snowflake design.

Some more stamps...some yummy ribbons...and some soft dimensional accessories for my cards and projects.

I scored some new markers and a new ink to try out.

What a fun day we all had...thank you ladies for sharing the day with Carol and me...I hope you all had fun...thanks everyone for droppin' in and sharing the morning with me...I hope you all have a stampin' good day.

Love Warm Soup

This is my favorite of all my folders...and I'm very happy that I used it for my class last week...This is my card that I had for the stampin' ladies to make...it is easy and I think so cute...actually I love my soup piping hot...so that I can sip it slowly to make it last longer...to mail this card all you have to do is lay the pumpkin flat before putting in the envie...when you remove it from the envie...it pops right back up.
*****
This is the recipe:
Card stock: cranberry crisp and kiwi kiss are both retired....autumn traditions DSP...crushed curry...glorious green...pumpkin pie...only orange...summer sun...confetti cream...and cream printer paper.
*****
Ink: crushed curry.
*****
Punches: autumn type folder...1/16" hand held circle...word window...scallop oval...small and large rectangle.
*****
Additional supplies: snail...burgundy brad...score-it...fiskar...and big shot.

The pumpkin was made using the scallop oval punch...and inside the card I used cream printer paper for my "Happy Fall Y'all" hand stamped sentiment...which I used crushed curry ink.

The tag was the idea for the title of the card...I happen to punch out the part that said "love warm soup".

Thanks so much for droppin' in so late this evening...I'm heading to bed I'm darn tired...have a stampin' good night everyone.

B's For Birthday

This is the card Carol had for the ladies to make last week at our class...she used her favorite colours...especially the not quite navy...lol...right Carol...this colour combo is also great to use for a masculine card.
*****
This is Carol's quick recipe:
Stamp sets: Fundamental phrases and Party hearty.
*****
Card stock: confetti white...not quite navy...bordering blue...sage shadow...more mustard...and white printer paper.
*****
Ink: bordering blue.
*****
Punches: round corner...round tab...top note die...and paisley texture plate.
*****
Additional supplies: big shot...snail...score-it...and natural hemp twine.

Inside the card she used white printer paper for her sentiment...the more mustard really makes the different shades of blue pop.

Thanks Carol for sharing this card with us...it was fun and we loved it...thanks everyone for dropping in...enjoy the morning...and have a stampin' good day.

Sushi Chef and Sous Assitant...Happy Halloween

I have a few October projects to finish up posting this week...where did this month go...it seems like I had so much to do...I hope you don't mind, but I must share one more Halloween pic of my grandson...I can't stand it...he looks so cute...LOL...at the last minute there was a costume change...Kenzo was originally going to be a lobster sushi...with my grandson deciding how to cook him...YUKKO...LOL.
*****
Instead this is the new costume for the parade...the Sushi Master and his Sous Chef...LOL...I love it...but I still think Kenzo wasn't too happy being dressed up...even though he went with the game...LOL...poor Kenzo must be thinking...I'm a dog...not a chef...I don't cook...I just eat...LOL.

My grandson has his sushi knife ready to go and a plate of sushi that he is tasting and thinking YUMMO!!! this is delish...my daughter and son-in-law did a great job with the Sushi Bar and the props...everything looks sooooooo!!! real...especially that knife and plate of sushi...they had fun at the parade and at the party later that evening...GREAT job guys...that was absolutely wonderful...I loved it.

Thanks everyone for stoppin' in this morning...I hope you all had a safe and fun day yesterday...I know that I did...make sure you check all the goodies and candies before eating or giving them to the little ones...I hope you all have a stampin' good day.

My Lil' Pumpkin'

I saw this cute little outfit...and I had to get it for my grandson since he's my lil' pumpkin'...LOL...he wore it yesterday at his Nanny's...from what I heard from my daughter the little girls were going crazy over him.

I love the little hat...and it fits his head perfectly.

The socks are striped with little pumpkins going across the top...I don't think you can see it in the pic.

This is what he looked like in the outfit...I love it...I asked him why was he so darn cute...LOL.

At the end of the day when he was getting ready for bed...he still had on the little hat...LOL...too...too adorable.

Thanks for droppin' in this morning and taking a peek at my lil' pumpkin and putting up with this grammer's ramblings...enjoy the morning...and have a stampin' good day.

Today is the last day of the month...where did the time go?...but Breast Cancer awareness will continue every day of the year...get your mammogram scheduled and done...remember that life is sweet...enjoy it.
