Six Years Ago Today

Mom...I woke this morning and reached for the phone, then I realized I was dreaming and that God had called you home...six years have gone so rapidly by...memories of you bring tears to my eyes...then I remember all the laughter...fun...and happy times we shared, and I know in my heart of hearts that you will always be there watching over me.

When someone you love becomes a memory...The memory becomes a treasure.

We Love and Miss you mom.

Christmas Gift Card Holder

This was a fun project...it is also a double gift...someone special will receive a gift card...but after the gift card has been used...they will have four cute book markers...give a gift card to your friends favorite book store and they will have the book markers to remind them of you...lovely...lol...I started off with a 12X12 sheet of printed paper for the base of the holder...but the rest of my supplies were all leftover scraps from other projects...I love using my scraps.

This is the recipe:

Stamps: fairy angels...gladness of Christmas...merry Christmas sentiment...cardinal...and holly.

*****

Card stock: Christmas tree print and assorted scraps.

*****

Ink: basic black...glorious green...and regal red.

*****

Markers: stampin' write...clear glitter star...and gold uni paint.

*****

Punches: slit...snowflakes and 1/4" hand held circle.

*****

Additional supplies: snail...score-it...fiskar...white shimmer ribbon...superfine gold embossing powder...heat gun...glue pad...hobby blade...stampin' dimensionals...red and green may art ribbon.

The book markers are a cute addition to this gift card holder.

This angel has a little heart on her layered dress.

This book marker has the gift card.

This angel is in a striped dress with a heart.

The outside of the gift card holder is a Christmas poem.

On the back I completed my project with my favorite stamp "when you care enough...you make it yourself ".

Thank you so much for droppin' by this morning...this was so much fun to make...I will have to make them for all my gift cards now...enjoy the rest of the morning...and I hope you all have a stampin' good day.

Snowflake Wishes

This card used all scraps...the snowflake cutout was in my stash...I don't even know where I got it from...but I wanted something super quick...and this is what I came up with...very cute if I must say so myself...if you notice the background scrap papers all have dots in them...also the folder for the white card stock has dots.

This is the quickest recipe:
Stamp set: the more the merrier.
*****
Card stock...whisper white...white printer....and assorted scraps.
*****
Ink: ballet blue.
*****
Punches: snow dot folder.
*****
Additional supplies: big shot...snail...score-it...and fiskar cutter.

I added white printer paper inside for my note...then this little winter sentiment and I'm done.

Merry Christmas

This is Carol's card that she made for the last sketchin' good time for 2009...I decided to go back to traditional Christmas colours...and she did a great job...I love the star at the top of the tree...just the perfect size.
*****
This is Carol's Sketchin' good recipe:
Stamp set: season of joy.
*****
Card stock: white printer paper...real red and whisper white.
*****
Ink: real red and glorious green.
*****
Markers: glitter gel pen....stampin' write real red and glorious green.
*****
Punches: 1/8" hole.
*****
Additional supplies: metal dots...star brad...snail adhesive...paper cutter...and score-it.

Carol said she used her markers to do the sentiment on the card so she could have the two different colours...inside she used white printer paper to make it easier to write a message.

This was a great project Carol...thanks for sharing it with us...thanks everyone for stoppin' by this morning...enjoy the rest of the morning...and I hope you all have a stampin' good day...by the way if your going out shopping you will need your long johns...LOL...brrrrrrrrr...it's cold here.
